A2 Music Video: What i have done this lesson
Today in my lesson I have analysed my friends media coursework and left feedback in the form of comments on her blog, this will help her improve her work and also show that she takes into consideration constructive criticism and other people’s opinions.
A2 Music Video: Issues
There have been multiple issues with my filming over these
past few weeks:
Actress
My actress has repeatedly cancelled the times and days I have
said I am available to film. The reason as to why I didn't change my actress was due to the fact she said she could do it at a later date; but then went on to cancel again and again. She has now dropped out of the project all together a
few days before the deadline with no reason as to why she can’t do it, leaving
me with barely any footage which involves her lip syncing the song ‘who you are’.
After I discovered this I tried to get footage for the instrumental parts of
the video which didn’t include any actress. This leads on to my other issue.
Uploading the film
onto pinnacle
After plugging the camera into the computer and having
pinnacle open and ready a window message popped up saying that it was not compatible
with my camera, with also lacking a teacher I had no one who I could ask about
this, fellow pupils tried to solve the problem but were unsuccessful. This is
the reason as to why I couldn’t put my footage on before the Christmas
deadline.

A2 Music Video: My products
As stated previously my actress has dropped out of my project,
without forewarning or regards to how this will affect my coursework. After
consulting my media studies teacher she says it will be okay to leave my
Digi-Pack products as they are as long as I state that I have used a different
actress in my video and what impacts good and bad this will have. I will later
analyse this choice using a table of pros and cons comparing my new actress to
my old one featured in my Digi-pack products.

A2 Music Video: Picture Motion
I am currently considering using picture motion in my music video, the lyrics I will use will be:
‘Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars!
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing’
I will take numerous images then place them into Pinnacle to create a video. The images/ lyrics will be written onto plain paper.

A2 Music Video: Mock Exams
There is a mock exam week coming up in December, this will affect my media coursework as both me and my actress have 2 exams in this week. I will need to do an appropriate amount of revision and so will she; so my filming opportunities will be further limited by this.
A2 Music Video: Issues With Story Board
I have had numerous issues when it comes to my story board these include:
- When I went to take the images I couldn’t see what I had drawn as it was in pencil, so I then had to fine line all 38/39 drawings.
- I took images of the A4 sheets, then placed them on my memory stick only to find out the quality wasn’t very good
So now I need to retake the images, upload them and create a post where they are in chronological order.

So far I have completed my Digi-Pack products:
· CD Front, Back and Side
· A4 Poster
I have started my filming, I have roughly 45 seconds of footage, and I plan to film most days after school and the majority of this weekend the get the bulk of the video completed so I can use the rest of my lessons for editing and perfecting the video.

A2 Music Video: Image Ideas for CD

· Maybe in black and white then have the album name in the same purple or blue as the album art on the back

A2 Music Video: Further Changes
After further consideration, I have decided that I will keep the Digi-Pack CD back that I have created and design a new CD cover. I will keep the font but instead of using the galaxy picture for the background I will have the image of my actress as the background and use the colours found within the image as the colour scheme. Therefore it will still be similar to the back cover art. If me or my actress have a piece of clothing that has a galaxy print on I will have her wearing this to further link the cover and back together.

A2 Music Video: Changes
After doing further research on the actual CD cover (Front and Back) and Posters which are used by Jessie J, I have decided to simplify my Digi-Pack products. I have created a Spider Diagram of ideas and done rough sketches of what they look like to help me decided my final Digi-Pack product. I will upload a picture of this on a later date.

A2 Music Video: First Rough Draft
This is my first rough attempt at filming, unfortunately I won’t be using this as my actual footage as the quality is really bad and also there is a greenish tint to the filming. I didn’t edit this using Pinnacle or add the music I have downloaded because I knew I wasn’t going to be using this because of the quality.
A2 Music Video: Issues That Have Arisen Continued...
- The camera viewing screen is really poor quality so I’m not sure how the bad/good the quality will be when I put the footage I have filmed onto my blog.
- I have filmed the end of my video as this would be easier, so aligning to music to match the lip-sync will be difficult
- There is only one USB cable for the camera so I have to wait to be able to use it.
- It was only after I had filmed that I realised night mode was selected so the colour has a slightly greenish tint to it.

A2 Music Video: Poster Draft 5 (Without Images)
This is my 5th draft of my poster for the Digi-Pack. Personally, this is so far my favourite as it ties in greatly with an album draft I have created and also my genre, but unfortunately like the others I have not yet added the images. The galaxy image that I have used also furthers the universal question ‘who am i?’.

This is my fourth design draft for my Digi-Pack poster that I have created for my A2 Music Video project. I haven’t added the images yet as they haven’t been taken but I will be placing the image I select in the main square and I will fill the other squares with either block colours, question marks or other images that I have taken.

The third design draft for my Digi-Pack poster that I have created for my A2 Music Video project. I haven’t added the images yet as they haven’t been taken, I will be placing the images inside the squares; my idea is that all the images will be the same but with different editing effects on them, but the one in the middle will be completely unedited.

This is the second Digi-Pack poster draft that I have created for my A2 Music Video project. Unfortunately, like my original idea I haven’t added the images yet as they haven’t been taken, but inside the mirror is where the image of the artist will be placed like that of the original design. I would consider using this poster over the first one I created as it has been developed to a greater extent, although I will have to consult my target audience as to which poster they prefer.
