A2 Music Video: 'Who You Are' Ideas And Conventions

 ‘Who You Are’ consists of one main setting but with different effects played throughout the video. The setting is extremely realistic with simple furniture and basic dull colours showing life isn't bright, colourful and happy all of the time. There are both emotional and physical downsides to life, as shown and emphasised in this video. Of course, I can’t replicate the entire video or its special effects but I can take inspiration from the original video and some key concepts/themes and feature them in my own.

 

                      

A2 Music Video: Style

The style that I want to replicate is that of the artist Emlie Sande. Her style is slightly pop/ Soul yet her music videos can come across as indie, her style is also featured in Jessie J’s song which I have chosen: ‘Who You Are’. Jessie J’s  other songs are primarily Pop based where as ‘Who You Are’ is more emotive and of a pop\soul genre.
